Woman Killed By 2 Sons In Odisha’s Cuttack, 1 Held

Cuttack: In a ghastly incident, a woman has been murdered allegedly by her two sons in Cuttack city in Odisha.

As per preliminary reports, the gruesome shocking incident took place in Mahanadi Vihar area of the city on Saturday.

The accused allegedly killed their mother by slitting her throat with a sharp weapon. The body was found lying in a pool of blood.

On being informed, senior police officials rushed to the spot and launched an investigation into the incident.

While the exact reason behind the killing is yet to be ascertained, sources said there was some dispute in the family which could have led to the murder.

Locals said the deceased woman was staying along with her two sons. While one of the accused sons had been detained by the police, the other was stated to have fled.
