Woman Killed, Father-In-Law Injured In Road Mishap In Odisha’s Balasore

Balasore: A married woman was killed and her father-in-law seriously injured in a road accident in Odisha’s Balasore district.

As per reports, Arun Jena of Bartana village under Jaleswar police limits in the district had gone to a market on his motorcycle to purchase some household items in the afternoon. His daughter-in-law Milirani Jena was riding pillion with him.

After completing the purchase, Arun and Milirani were returning home on the bike when they collided with another vehicle near Salikotha Chhak on Jaleswar-Paschimbada road.

While Milirani was thrown off the bike on the impact of the collision and died on the spot, her father-in-law sustained serious injuries. The locals rushed the injured Arun to a private hospital at Jaleswar. Later, he was shifted to the district headquarters hospital (DHH) in Balasore after his condition deteriorated.

A team from Jaleswar police station went to the accident spot and registered a case. They have started investigation but nobody has been arrested in this connection.
