Woman killed in gas cylinder explosion in Ganjam

Ganjam: In an unfortunate incident, a woman was killed when a LPG cylinder exploded at Manikpur village in Ganjam district on Sunday.

The deceased was identified as Chandrakanti Mallick.

The gas cylinder exploded when the victim lit the stove to cook food. The cylinder reportedly started leaking and caught fire and exploded.

Receiving information regarding the mishap, fire personnel rushed to the spot and doused the flames.

Khallikote Police later seized the body and sent it for postmortem.
