Kamakhyanagar: An old woman died in a wall collapse at Tarajung village in Makuakateni panchayat under Kankadahad police station limits of Dhenkanal district Tuesday morning.
According to sources, Rina Sahu had a close shave while her mother-in-law Kadali Sahu (73) died instantaneously under the weight of the rubble when the mud wall collapsed,
The mishap occurred in the wee hours when the family members were asleep. Relatives recovered the body of Kadali Sahu while Rina sustained a head injury.
On receipt of information, Birasala Revenue Inspector and Kankadahada police have reached the spot. The officials have also promised to provide financial assistance after the postmortem.
