Woman Kills Husband With Paramour’s Help In Odisha’s Baripada, Arrested

Baripada: A woman allegedly killed  her husband with the help of her paramour at Kaiakhali village in Mayurbhanj district and buried the body late on Sunday.

The deceased has been identified as Sankarshan Barik (42).

According to police sources, Barik’s wife was in an illicit relation with Sapan Das of Julubakandha village in Balasore district.

Following the affair, she along with Sapan plotted to kill her husband.

She had Sapan over at her place and they allegedly strangled Barik to death while he was sleeping.

Later, they took the body in a motorcycle to a mango orchard located in Kalama panchayat under Raibania police limits of Balasore and buried it.

The locals spotted the pit on Monday morning and informed police about the same.

Police along with scientific team and sniffer dogs reached the spot and exhumed the body.

The woman and her paramour were later arrested and they  confessed to the crime during interrogation, the sources added.

Further investigation into the matter is on.
