Woman Teacher Missing, Scooty & Pair Of Slippers Found On Cuttack’s Trisulia Bridge

Cuttack: A woman, Mamata Sahu, suspected to have jumped into the Mahanadi from Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose Setu at Trisulia in Odisha Cuttack on Wednesday.

The incident came to light after morning walkers spotted a scooty and a pair of slippers on the bridge and informed police, which then traced its owner to Nua Bazaar area.

Family sources said that Mamata (62) works as a teacher in a private school near Barabati Stadium. She left home around 3 am on her scooty without informing her family and was untraceable since then. She also left her mobile phone at home. She had attended her father’s ‘shardha’ with her husband the previous day. She is mother of two daughters.

Her family members added that they were unaware of any stress in her life.

Meanwhile, Fire Service personnel have reached the spot and lunched an operation to trace her.
