Lucknow: In a new low in the society, a 35-year old woman was allegedly raped by her father and two friends in Sitapur of Uttar Pradesh district. The incident took place in Kamalpur area on April 15.
On the basis of the complaint filed by the victim, the accused father was arrested by the police on Thursday, while search is ongoing to nab the other two.
“The woman was raped by the men in Kamlapur area on April 15. The father took his daughter to a fair, where he called up his friend Maan Singh and asked him to join him,” Additional SP (South) Martand Prakash Singh was quoted by ANI.
“They then convinced the woman to go to the residence of their friend Meraj. On reaching there, the three locked her up in a room for nearly 18 hours and took turns to rape her,” he added.
Somehow, the victim managed to flee from the house and reach her mother.
