Woman Slits Throats Of Newborn Twins After Husband Says He’s Not The Father

The border district of Poonch in Jammu & Kashmir was shaken and rocked when a woman slit the throats of her newborn twins after her husband allegedly denied paternity.

The man, who works in Saudi Arabia, returned home in April. As his wife gave birth to twins, the man headed to the police station and gave a statement that the children were born from an illegitimate relationship.

The woman then took her newborns to a nearby field and killed them, police said.

The man was the initial suspect behind the grisly murders. However, the woman, on being interrogated about the incident, confessed to committing the crime.

“It’s the mother who killed her twin baby daughters. She has confessed to the crime,” NDTV quoted Senior Superintendent of Police of Poonch Yogul Manhas as saying.

Local people, aghast after coming to know the truth, have demanded harshest of punishments for the woman. She has been charged with murder.
