Paralakhemundi: A song recording on woman empowerment by the Gajapati SP Sara Sharma has created quite a buzz on social media.
“I have recorded the song for the massive propagation of as well as awareness on women safety and security among the people of Gajapati district,” the SP told the media on Wednesday.
Sharma informed that a SHE team based on the Hyderabad model will be set up in Gajapati district to provide safety and security to women and minor girls. “Any woman or girl in distress can contact the SHE team on its phone number and they will be immediately rescued by the team members,” she added.
The SP said the SHE team in Gajapati district will be the pilot project of the scheme, which will be launched in the state on June 28.
