Bharatpur: In a rarest of rare cases, a woman from Rajasthan’s Bharatpur district tested positive for coronavirus 31 times after contracting the deadly coronavirus five months ago.
However, the health condition of Sharda — who is being treated at RBM Hospital — hasn’t deteriorated and she has gained 6-7 kg, leaving the doctors puzzled, Zee News reported.
They are thinking of referring her case to SMS Hospital in Jaipur.
Sharda was tested for COVID-19 for the first time on August 28, 2020, and she was positive.
Since then, she has been tested 30 more times, but each time her report was COVID-19 positive. Sharda is being administered ayurvedic, homeopathic and allopathic medicines simultaneously.
She is currently in quarantine and doctors have advised that she be isolated till her report is negative.
There are no other COVID-positive patients in any hospital of Bharatpur district currently, barring Sharda.
Patients who contract the virus are normally kept in quarantine for 10 to 14 days and discharged after recovering and testing negative.
In Sharda’s case, the authorities have little option but to shift her to SMS Hospital.
