Woman Tries To Immolate Self Near Odisha CM’s Residence

Bhubaneswar: Security personnel foiled a self-immolation bid by a woman outside Naveen Niwas, the residence of Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik, here on Wednesday.

She was rescued and sent to the Capital Hospital.

The woman accused Srinath Soren, BJD candidate from Udala Assembly seat in Mayurbhanj district, of sexual harassment. She said she was forced to take the extreme step because of police inaction.
