Bhubaneswar: In a shocking incident, the ward member of Bidyadharpur panchayat in Jagatsinghpur district was charred to death after a fire broke out in her house on Monday morning.
The ward member is Saraswati Sethi.
Sethi sustained critical burns and was rushed to local hospital where the doctors referred her to SCB Medical College and Hospital in Cuttack.
However, the woman succumbed to her injuries while being shifted to SCB Medical. Further details are awaited.
