Woman & Youth, Who ‘Jumped’ Off Cuttack’s Trisulia Bridge, Walk Into Police Station

Cuttack: A day after sending police and Fire Service personnel into a tizzy following an alleged ‘suicide bid’, a woman and her brother-in-law, who were said to have jumped into the Kathajodi, walked into Purighat police station in Odisha’s Cuttack city on Saturday morning.

They were then sent to city hospital for medical check-up.

According to sources, Barsha Lenka and Krushna Muduli, who is husband of her husband’s sister, were reported missing after allegedly jumping off Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose bridge at Trisulia on Friday evening. Their Aadhaar cards, mobile phones and shoes were recovered from the spot.

While duo claimed they were stranded in the river the whole night, sources said that none had seen them jumping off the bridge. It is being suspected that they are in a relationship.
