Woman’s Mutilated Body Found Lying In Garbage Dump In Odisha Village

Khurda: Mutilated body of a woman was found lying in a garbage dump near Galua Chhak in Banpur area of Odisha’s Khurda district on Thursday.

The body of the woman, which was lying in the garbage dump near Galua Chhak under the jurisdiction of Banpur police station, was spotted by locals, who informed the police, sources said.

Subsequently, a purported CCTV footage showed that the woman, whose mutilated body was found in the garbage dump, being brutally hacked by a miscreant with a sharp weapon. The miscreant and the deceased are yet to be identified.

After noticing the body, some passersby informed the police.  A team of police personnel visited the spot and launched an investigation into the incident.

The reason behind the brutal murder is yet to be ascertained. The purported CCTV footage is being examined as part of the probe. Further details are awaited.
