Woman’s Mutilated Body Found On Railway Tracks After Fight With Husband In Odisha Village

Balangir: Mutilated body of a woman was found on railway tracks in Titlagarh area of Odisha’s Balangir district on Saturday.

Sources said the body of the 25-year-old woman was recovered by the Government Railway Police (GRP) near Sirol village under the jurisdiction of Titlagarh police station in the morning.

The woman, identified as Kamala Rana of Tentulikhuti village, reportedly had a fight with her husband on Friday night. She was married to Kumarmani Rana eight years ago and had two children with him.

Locals said Kamala had entered into a heated argument with her husband on Friday night, after which she left the house. Though the family members searched for her throughout the night, she could not be traced.

However, locals spotted her body on the railway tracks and informed the GRP. On being informed, the family members of the woman rushed to the spot.

The police, meanwhile, sent the body for post-mortem and launched an investigation to ascertain the circumstances that led to the death of the woman.
