Woman’s Mutilated Body Found In Paradip

Paradip: The mutilated body of a woman was found at Kujang Balia
Chhack in Paradip on Friday.

The deceased was identified as Sasmita Nayak, a resident of Kendrapara.
Kujang police, who rushed to the spot after being informed about the
incident, seized the body and sent it for post-mortem.

According to some locals, Sasmita was murdered by her neighbours on
suspicion of practising witchcraft.

In a separate incident, a girl was rescued from Kutuphandi Mathia
forest road in Kalahandi district.

The victim hail from Takarapada village under Jubamara panchayat in
the district.

A police complaint was lodged by the victim alleging that she has been
raped by her lover and his associate.
