Faridabad: Three people including two children were killed after a fire broke out at a private school in Faridabad near Delhi on Saturday, reports NDTV.
The fire started in a clothes warehouse under the school early on Saturday morning in Faridabad’s Dubua Colony. The cause is not yet known. Residents alleged that the firefighters were late in reaching the spot, narrow lanes making their job difficult.
The three dead include a woman who taught at the school and two of her children. The school was closed for the summer vacation, but the family lived inside. Neighbours brought them out with severe burns through the roof but they died in hospital. Two people were also injured while trying to save them.
The incident instantly drew parallels with the incident in Surat where a massive fire at a coaching centre late last month killed nearly two dozen people, most students.
