Bhubaneswar: A gang of women tried to snatch the purse of a woman near Rasulgarh here on Friday.
The woman was waiting for an autorickshaw when one of the gang members snatched her purse and tried to flee. She was, however, caught by passers-by.
Soon, other members of the gang joined her and she attacked the people who caught her with a sharp blade. But the gang members were overpowered, beaten up and handed over to Saheed Nagar police.
