Sonepur: Women on Tuesday ransacked a liquor shop at Badakhama village in Sonepu,r claiming that it posed a threat to local residents.
According to sources, the agitating women vandalised the shop and destroyed hundreds of liquor bottles. Despite complaints, the authorities had failed to take steps to close the shop, they alleged.
On being informed, the police reached the spot and controlled the irate mob.
