Bhubaneswar: All women who are completing 21 years of age are eligible to get financial assistance under Subhadra Yojana of the Odisha government.
This was stated by Deputy Chief Minister Pravati Parida on Thursday. She told reporters that all those who are turning 21 this month can apply for getting financial benefit under the scheme aimed at empowering women in the state.
The Deputy CM further said that the state government is committed to including eligible beneficiaries whose applications were rejected due to various reasons. “All eligible beneficiaries, whose applications were rejected, will be included in the upcoming fourth phase of the first instalment,” Parida.
Stating that verification of the rejected applications is in progress and the process would be completed within 15 days, she said the government has started verification in the districts where the number of rejection applications is more.
The focus is on the districts where the application rejection was more than the registration number. A team of officials have reached two panchayats under two blocks in Malkangiri district. The verification is being conducted under the supervision of CDPO.
Stating that the verification is now underway in Malkangiri, Koraput an d Gajapati districts to add more beneficiaries, the Deputy CM said eligible beneficiaries will receive the money after verification.
While over 1.06 crore applications have been received so far, 22 per cent verification has been completed and the government aims to cover at least 5,000 beneficiaries from each district.
It may be noted that the third phase Subhadra money was disbursed to over 20 lakh beneficiaries on November 24. As many as 80 lakh women have already been benefitted under the state’s flagship programme so far.
The state government is aims to cover 1 crore beneficiaries by December this year.
