Image source :Facebook Bhubaneswar: A group of more than 50 women riders took out a journey from Sikharchandi hill top to Salia Sahi football ground on their motor bikes on Thursday to spread the message of women empowerment.
Flagging of the rally Police Commissioner YB Khurania said, “Through the rally titled Women Against Sexual Harassment (WASH) organised by Parichay Foundation on the occasion of International Women’s Day, the participants wanted to educate women, particularly in slums, of their rights and spread awareness against sexual harassment.”
A cultural programme was also organised on the occasion.
Social activists Subhashree Das, Ollywood actress Usasi Mishra took part in the event.
