Bhubaneswar: Amusement park operator Wonderla Holidays Ltd is keen to build an amusement park in Odisha.
“The board has given in-principle approval to evaluate the setting up of an amusement park in Odisha consequent to an offer from the government of Odisha,” the company said in a BSE filing on Tuesday.
Wonderla, however, did not reveal details about the project or its location.
The company is constructing a Rs 350 crore amusement park in Chennai. The project got delayed as the company protested against the Tamil Nadu government for levying an entertainment tax of 10 per cent above GST. The state government has now agreed to exempt the entertainment tax for 5 years.
