Bhubaneswar: Odisha para shuttler Deep Ranjan Bisoyee achieved a double-medal haul at the World Abilitysport Games 2023 in Thailand’s Nakhon Ratchasima.
The 38-year-old Bisoyee, who often gets overshadowed by the super prolific Pramod Bhagat, won the gold in men’s doubles and bronze in singles.
Another Odia Subhrajeet Maharana secured bronze medal in men’s doubles.
The World Abilitysport Games bring together the biggest gathering of athletes with physical disabilities.
The biennial Games with multiple sports disciplines aim to give aspiring athletes their first taste of international competition and older athletes the chance to continue competing.
