Keonjhar: A world-class stadium and sports complex is all set to come up in Odisha’s Keonjhar, the home district of Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi.
This was stated by Sports Minister Suryabanshi Suraj during his one-day visit to the tribal-dominated district. He said the world-class stadium as the government is taking all necessary steps to implement the promise made by the CM.
During his visit, the Minister inspected the proposed location in Ranki, where the stadium is going to be built. The Sports Minister also held discussion with officials and checked all the related documents prepared for the purpose.
The government will provide all the necessary help in building the world-class sports complex, said Suraj.
“The Chief Minister has sent me to take stock of the situation as he is eager to see the development of sports in Keonjhar,” he added.
The sports complex will help the district find, identify and groom sports talents, who do not have a proper platform to showcase or improve their skills.
It may be noted that, the CM, during his second visit to Keonjhar recently, had said that a world-class sports complex will be built near Keonjhar town.
