World Cup: India Put Up 336 Challenge For Pakistan

India lost the wicket of skipper Virat Kohli as the game between the arch rivals resumed after rain interruption at Old Trafford in Manchester during the ongoing World Cup on Sunday evening.

After a cheesy four, Virat edged a stinging bouncer from Mohammad Amir, which went straight into keeper’s gloves.

India ended the innings at 336 for 5.

The game was stopped in the 46th over of the match with India at 305 for 4 against Pakistan. Kohli (71*) and Shankar (3*) were at the cease then.

The play resumed after umpires inspected and found the outfield satisfactory. The sudden downpour halted the game for an hour, but no over was lost.

Earlier, Rohit Sharma had put India in a dominating position by scoring his second hundred in three innings this World Cup. He scored 140 before being caught at short fine leg by Wahab Riaz off Hasan Ali in he 39th over. India then lost the wickets of Hardik Pandya and Mahendra Singh Dhoni in quick succession.
