World Cup Hockey: Fan Village To Come Up At Kalinga Stadium

Bhubaneswar: To bring sports lovers closer to their favourite national and international players during the World Cup Hockey, a Fan Village would be set up in the capital’s Kalinga Stadium.

According to sources, spectators will get an opportunity to interact with their favourite players in the Fan Village. They can take selfies, shake hands and get autographs. They can meet players who are off the field in the Fan Zone even while a match is on.

“Players who are in the practice court will also come to the Fan Zone and meet their fans. This is the first time that the Commissionerate Police has introduced such a system in a mega event. The Fan Zone would be set up in the vacant place on the two sides of gate no-3 of the stadium,” Police Commissioner Satyajit Mohanty told mediapersons here on Wednesday.
