New Delhi: The world does not want to do business with China and this is a blessing for India, Union Minister Nitin Gadkari told NDTV on Saturday. He was speaking during a discussion on the government’s plans to support MSMEs incurring losses during the coronavirus outbreak and steps to boost the national economy after the end of the lockdown.
“World over every country is facing an economic crisis. (But) every country in the world, right now, does not want to trade with China, even though it is a super economic power. This is a blessing in disguise for us. This is an opportunity for us…” he told NDTV.
Both India and China are likely to be badly hit by the coronavirus pandemic, with the International Monetary Fund (IMF) predicting a growth rate of 1.2 per cent for the Asian giant in 2020; its lowest in over four decades.
