The drive, an initiative by Odisha government, saw over 10,000 volunteers joining in the drive aimed at cleaning the state coastline and making it plastic-free.
As many as 10 spots in Puri municipality, 10 in Konark NAC and 80 locations at Astaranga, Brahmagiri, Gop and Krushnaprasad will be cleaned under this drive.
The district administration engaged 10 nodal officers to oversee the exercise at Puri and Konark.
The BDOs of Astaranga, Brahmagiri, Gop and Krushnaprasad were deployed to look after the locations identified in their jurisdictions.
Batches of around 40 volunteers each will carry out the exercise for two hours from 6 am to 8 am at the identified spots.
