New Delhi: A Delhi court on Tuesday dismissed two-time Olympic medallist Sushil Kumar’s bail petition in the murder case of fellow-wrestler Sagar Rana.
Sushil was arrested on May 23 for his role in the death of the junior wrestler at Chhatrasal Stadium and has been lodged in jail since June 2.

Sushil, who bagged a bronze medal at 2008 Beijing Olympics and silver at 2012 London Games, said in his bail plea that the police tried to paint a “false and guilty image” of him and presented distorted information about the case to the media to establish connections between him and a few gangsters. But the judge wasn’t impressed.
