Bridging the gap between wired and wireless chargers, Xiaomi on Tuesday showcased its latest innovation – a 30W wireless charger named Mi Charge Turbo.
The company claims it can charge a 4,000mAh battery to 50 per cent in just 25 minutes, and 100 per cent in around 70 minutes. It uses a 5-layer nanocrystal receiver coil with 98 per cent conversion efficiency.
The upcoming Xiaomi Mi 9 Pro 5G will be the company’s first device to sport wireless charging technology.
Xiaomi is reportedly also making a smaller 20W and a bigger 40W wireless charging pad. The 20W charge pad will display time and charge levels.
Xiaomi had recently announced a 100W wired charging technology as well.
