Bhubaneswar: The Odisha government has appointed Yamini Sarangi as State Project Director, Odisha Adarsha Vidyalaya Sangathan (OAVS).
A 2008-batch IAS officer, Sarangi was working as the Officer on Special Duty (OSD) at the General Administration and Public Grievances department. She would replace Sangarm Keshari Mohapatra, stated a notification of General Administration and Public Grievances department on Monday.
The post of State Project Director, OAVS, has been declared equivalent in the status and responsibility to the post of Additional Secretary. Sarangi has also been given the additional charge of Additional Secretary to the Finance department.
Sangarm Keshari Mohapatra, a 2012-batch IAS officer, has been transferred and appointed as the Additional Secretary to School and Mass Education department.
Similarly, Vedbhushan has been appointed as the Commissioner of Sambalpur Municipal Corporation. A 2020-batch IAS officer, he was earlier working as the Sub-Collector of Dharmagarh with additional charge of Executive Officer, Dharamgarh NAC.
The post of Commissioner, Sambalpur Municipal Corporation, has been declared equivalent in status and responsibility to the post of Under Secretary.
