Bhubaneswar: The India Meteorological Department on Monday sounded yellow warning for thunderstorm with lightning for several districts of Odisha till 8.30 am on October 13.
Thunderstorm with lightning is likely at one or two places over the districts of Balasore, Bhadrak, Jajpur, Kendrapada, Cuttack, Jagatsinghpur, Puri, Khurda, Nayagarh, Ganjam, Gajapati, Koraput, Malkangiri, Rayagada, Kandhamal, Boudh, Angul, Dhenkanal, Keonjhar and Mayurbhanj till Tuesday morning. Bhubaneswar will experience an overcast sky and one or two spells of rain or thundershower during this period.
Thunderstorm with lightning alert has been issued for one or two places in Kalahandi, Kandhamal, Gajapati, Ganjam, Balangir, Nuapada, Bargarh, Sonepur, Boudh, Jharsuguda, Sambalpur, Sundargarh, Deogarh, Angul, Keonjhar and Mayurbhanj districts during the subsequent 23 hours.
On October 12, thunderstorm with lightning is likely at one or two places in Balasore, Bhadrak, Jajpur, Kendrapada, Cuttack, Jagatsinghpur, Sundergarh, Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj, Deogarh, Angul, Dhenkanal, Boudh, Kandhamal, Kalahandi and Khurda, the IMD said in its midday bulletin.

Light to moderate rain may continue in the state for the next five days under the influence of cyclonic circulation, which is still active over the southwest Bay of Bengal and adjoining north Sri Lanka coast. There will be little change in the water conditions, thereafter, it added.
