Bhubaneswar: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued nowcast warning for six districts of Odisha till 3.25 pm on Sunday.
Light to moderate rain/thundershower is likely in some parts of Puri, Khurda, Cuttack, Jagatsinghpur, Kendrapada and Bhadrak in next 3 hours. People have been advised to keep a watch on the weather and to move to safer places to protect themselves from lightning strikes.
Notably, the MeT office has warned of thunderstorm with lightning at one or two places in Balasore, Bhadrak, Jajpur, Kendrapada, Cuttack, Jagatsinghpur, Puri, Khurda, Nayagarh, Ganjam, Gajapati, Mayurbhanj, Keonjhar and Dhenkanal till 8.30 am on Monday. There is a forecast for heavy rainfall in southern districts of Odisha from June 3.
