Bhubaneswar: Heavy rain will continue to lash several places in Odisha till July 12, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) on Saturday.
According to the midday bulletin, heavy rain is very likely at one or two places in Balasore, Bhadrak, Jajpur, Kendrapada, Cuttack, Jagatsinghpur, Jharsuguda, Sambalpur, Sundargarh, Mayurbhanj, Keonjhar and Deogarh till 8.30 am on Sunday. Light to moderate rain or thundershower may also occur at most places in North coastal Odisha, Jharsuguda, Sambalpur, Sundargarh, Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj and Deogarh and at many places in remaining parts of the state during this period.
On July 9, heavy rainfall is very likely to occur at one or two places in Sundargarh, Deogarh, Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj, Koraput, Rayagada and Gajapati with light to moderate rain at many places in the rest of Odisha.
Yellow warning for heavy rain has been issued for one or two places in Malkangiri, Koraput, Nabarangpur, Bargarh, Jharsuguda, Sambalpur and Sundargarh with light to moderate rain at many places in the rest of Odisha during the subsequent 24 hours (July 10).
On July 11, heavy rain may lash one or two places in Malkangiri, Koraput, Nabarangpur, Rayagada, Gajapati, Angul, Keonjhar and Mayurbhanj districts. Light to moderate rain or thundershower is also likely at most places in South Interior Odisha and at many places in remaining districts of the state.
The MeT office has forecast heavy rain at one or two places in Malkangiri, Koraput, Rayagada, Gajapati, Ganjam and Kandhamal districts on July 12. Light to moderate rain or thundershower may occur at most places in South Coastal Odisha, Malkangiri, Koraput, Rayagada, Nabarangpur and at many places across Odisha.
