Bhubaneswar: Rain coupled with thundershower and lightning is likely to lash at least eleven districts of Odisha, including Bhubaneswar and Cuttack cities, on Sunday afternoon, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) said in a nowcast warning.
Issuing the warning with yellow alert at 1.45 pm, the Meteorological Centre in Bhubaneswar said that rain, thundershower and lightning may affect some parts of Puri, Balasore, Kendrapada, Keonjhar, Nayagarh, Jajpur, Cuttack (including Cuttack city), Dhenkanal, Ganjam, Khurda (including Bhubaneswar) and Koraput within next three hours.
People are advised to keep a watch on the weather and accordingly move to safer places to protect from lightning strike.
