Bhubaneswar: Rain coupled with thundershower and lightning is likely to lash at least eight districts of Odisha, including Bhubaneswar city, on Thursday night, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) said in a nowcast warning.
While issuing the nowcast warning at 9.30 pm, the weather agency also sounded yellow alert for Khurda (including Bhubaneswar), Puri (including Puri city), Ganjam, Jajpur, Angul, Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj and Dhenkanal districts within the next three hours.
It said light to moderate rain/ thundershowers & lightening with one or two spells of intense falls may occur in these districts.
Occasionally poor visibility is very likely during intense spells, and Traffic congestion.
People are advised to keep a watch on the weather and take safe shelter to protect themselves from lightening.
