Bhubaneswar: Some unguarded and candid moments were witnessed during the oath-taking ceremony of the newly-elected MLAs in Odisha Assembly on Tuesday.
All eyes were set on former Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik and the newly-elected BJP MLA from Kantabanji Laxman Bag when both came face-to-face in the House during the ceremony.
Bag has been in news ever since he defeated BJD president Naveen Patnaik in Kantabanji Assembly seat in Balangir district in the recently-held elections.
While Naveen won from his home turf Hinjili seat in Ganjam, he lost to Bag in Kantabanji. Both Bag and Patnaik were in the Assembly to take oath as MLAs along with others.
The House witnessed a candid and open moment when Naveen was proceeding and Bag stood up with folded hands on seeing him.
When Bag gave his introduction, Naveen promptly responded and greeted him. “Oh, you defeated me,” said Naveen while greeting Bag.
