Balangir: Popular actor of Odia albums and television serials Satyanjeet Purohit died of heart attack at the age of 32 on Tuesday.
According to reports, Satyanjeet, who belongs to Ashrampada village under Kantabanji block of Balangir, complained of uneasiness and chest pain in the morning. His family members rushed him to community health centre (CHC) at Kantabanji.
As his condition deteriorated, he was shifted to Bhima Bhoi Medical College and Hospital (BBMCH) in Balangir town. But the doctors at the hospital declared him brought dead. He was suspected of suffering a massive heart attack, hospital sources said.
As the demise of Satyanjeet spread, the television fraternity of Odisha expressed their shock and extended condolence to his family. He was cremated in his village.
Satyanjeet shot to fame for his album in Sambalpuri lanaguage ‘Bhola Pagala’. He also acted in several Nagpuri album songs.
The young actor, who was staying in Bhubaneswar most of the times, had moved to his hometown due to health-related problems recently.
