Bhubaneswar: A young girl was found hanging in a room of a hotel in Bhubaneswar on Saturday evening.
According to sources, the girl, identified as Subhalaxmi Sahu of Kuabagh Sahi in Bhadrak district, had checked into the hotel, located near Laxmisagar Square on Cuttack-Puri road in the city, at around 3.30 am. She booked a room and took its key.
As she did not come out of the room till evening, the hotel staff got suspicious and knocked on the door. Failing to get any response from inside the locked room, they opened the door with the master key. They found Subhalaxmi hanging with her stole from the ceiling fan.
On being informed by hotel staff, a team from Laxmisagar police station went to the spot and started investigation. They have informed Subhalaxmi’s family. After they identify the body, the police will send it for post-mortem, the sources said.
