Bhubaneswar: A young man died after he accidentally fell into an open drain in Salia Sahi slum area of Bhubaneswar on Thursday.
As per preliminary information, the youth suffered severe head injuries after he slipped and fell into the drain. He was rescued by local residents and immediately rushed to Capital Hospital, where doctors declared him dead.
The youth has been identified as Sinu Gagarai of the slum.
The drain was stated to have been constructed recently. It was still uncovered. Further details are awaited.
