Sonepur: Bodies of a young man and woman were found hanging from a banyan tree near Gulunda village under Binika police limits in Odisha’s Sonepur district in the early hours of Thursday.
According to sources, locals spotted two persons hanging from the tree and immediately informed Binika police, who arrived at the spot and recovered their bodies. A bag and two pairs of slippers were found nearby, presumably belonging to them.
While police have launched an investigation, identities of the deceased are not yet known. Scientific team will reach the site to gather evidence. Though there is speculation the deceased were couple, who allegedly dies by suicide, details will emerge as the probe progresses.
