Jajpur: Young Odia scientist Priyasloka Arya died of coronavirus infection in Bengaluru recently. He was 43.
He belonged to Raghunathpur village under Binjharpur block in Jajpur district.
He was the son of noted Odisha writers — Arya Yajnadatta and Gayatri Arya.
After completing his schooling from Brajasundar High School in the district and engineering from NIT, Jamshedpur, Priyasloka joined as a scientist in Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) at Chandipur in Balasore before moving to Bengaluru.
According to information reaching here, Arya had tested COVID-19 positive and died while undergoing treatment in a Bengaluru hospital. His last rites were performed in Bengaluru.
