New Delhi/Bhubaneswar: Young dance guru and a dynamic Odissi exponent Rajani Kanta Mohanty passed away in New Delhi following a brief illness on Sunday. He was 32.
He was the youngest son of late Guru Pravash Kumar Mohanty.
Rajani Kanta, who was down with a brief illness, breathed his last at their Aaya Nagar residence in New Delhi in the morning, family sources said.
He is survived by his two elder brothers Santosh Kumar Mohanty and Prakash Kumar Mohanty.
Known for his affable and helpful nature, Rajani Kanta was the joint secretary of premier performing art institution in Delhi, Patitapawan Kala Niketan, established by his late father.
His untimely demise was mourned by numerous of his admirers, friends, and well-wishers. Many eminent persons from dance and music circles visited their Arya Nagar residence to pay homage to the departed soul.
