Bhubaneswar: Two persons, including a young woman, were critically injured after being hit by a speeding ‘Mo Bus’ in Chandrasekharpur area in Bhubaneswar on Saturday.

Angry over the incident, locals intercepted two ‘Mo Buses’ and staged a demonstration, leading to severe traffic congestion from Jaydev Vihar to Nandankanan Road.

The injured woman and another pedestrian have been rushed to Capital Hospital.

Locals said the bus ran over the woman’s left hand as the driver was driving aggressively. He was trying to flee the spot after the mishap but angry people intercepted the bus.

They demanded that the CRUT authorities visit the spot and provide adequate compensation to the woman and bear all the expenses for her medical treatment.
