Young Woman Found Hanging Inside House In Odisha’s Balangir

Balangir: In a tragic incident, a young woman was found hanging inside her house at a village in Kantabanji area of Odisha’s Balangir district on Tuesday.

The incident reportedly took place at Dumerchuan village under the jurisdiction of Kantabanji police station. The deceased has been identified as Anjali Nag.

As per preliminary reports, the incident took place when Anjali was alone in the house as her parents had gone out for work. Her brother had also gone out of home for some work.

On his return, her brother knocked at the door but did not get any response. Later, he found his sister hanging from the ceiling of the room with a scarf around the neck and informed his parents.

After getting the information, Anjali’s parents rushed back home and informed the Kantabanji police.

A team of police personnel from Kantabanji visited the spot and launched an investigation. The body was sent for postmortem.

While it appeared to be a case of suicide, the exact reason of the woman’s death would be ascertained only after a thorough probe, police said.
