Bhubaneswar: Police have seized the body of a young woman, who was found hanging in a rented accommodation in Bharatpur area of Odisha Capital.
The deceased has been identified as Bishnupriya Rout. She shared the rented house in a slum under Bharatpur police limits with another woman, sources said.
Since her roommate is absconding, her family suspect that she might have been murdered. Police, however, said that prima facie it appears to be a case of death by suicide. “The body was found in a house which was closed from inside. We suspect it to be a case of suicide,” said IIC of Bharatpur police station Dinakrushna Mishra.
