Malkangiri: A youth was allegedly murdered over a ‘drink’ at MV-8 village in Odisha’s Malkangiri district on Monday.
The deceased, Milan Majumdar was a driver in the locality. His body was spotted by a group of commuters today morning at Manasa colony playground in the district, sources said.
Liquor bottles and a few belongings of Milan were recovered from the location by police which suspects that the youth was killed after an altercation.
However, Milan’s family members informed that a youth, identified as Bidhan from a neighbouring village, had called him yesterday following which he left home at around 7 pm.
It remains unclear whether Bidhan was involved in the case or someone else attacked Milan, police said, and added that a case was registered in this connection and investigation has started.
