Youth Arrested For ‘Blackmailing’ Girlfriend With Intimate Pics In Bhubaneswar

Bhubaneswar: Police have arrested a youth for allegedly blackmailing his girlfriend with video of their intimate moments in Odisha capital.

Police sources said the girl had developed intimacy with the boy, identified as Loknath Moharana of Badahat village under Town police limits in Kendrapara district, while both were working in a jewellery shop under Kharvelnagar police station in Bhubaneswar some time back.

When they were in the relationship, Loknath had captured some photos and made video recording of their private moments in his mobile phone. Later, he started blackmailing the girl with the pictures and evens sent those to her brother-in-law, the girl alleged in a complaint lodged at Kharvelnagar police station on Monday.

After registering a case on the basis of the complaint, police arrested Loknath and forwarded him to court on Tuesday, the sources said.
