Odisha Schoolteacher Held For Circulation 'Obscene' Videos Of Woman On WhatsApp

Sundargarh: Rourkela Cyber Crime Police arrested a youth on Friday for allegedly posting morphed and objectionable photos of a young woman on Facebook.
The accused has been identified as Pradip Tirkey (28) of Khamarimunda village under Kinjirkela block of Sundargarh district.
According to sources, Pradip had created a fake Facebook profile in the girl’s name and befriended some persons. He downloaded the pictures of the woman from her Facebook profile and morphed them into objectionable and obscene ones. Then he sent the photos to others.

The accused uploaded the photos on October 4 and the woman filed an FIR at Kinjirkela police the following day.

Acting on the complaint lodged by the woman, the cyber police team contacted Facebook headquarters and traced the location of the fake profile.

The police arrested the youth from his village and forwarded to the court the same day.
