Sundargarh: Biramitra Police arrested a youth allegedly for raping a minor girl repeatedly at Kuanmunda village in Sundargarh district on Thursday. The girl got pregnant.
The accused has been identified as Muna Badra. He was forwarded to the court on the same day.
According to sources, the minor girl was staying with her brother and sister-in-law. Muna used to go the victim’s house when the couple was out for work. He kept threatening the girl and raped her repeatedly.
The minor girl delivered a baby boy on December 22. As Muna refused to marry the girl, her family members lodged a complaint against him. “Based on the complaint, we arrested Muna Badra,” said Biramitrapur IIC Anand Chandra Majhi.
